Though the traditions and the foods are different in each region, you can expect that most families enjoy certain specialties here.

Much of the Christmas Eve meal is centered around fish and seafood of some sorts. There are built in traditions as to the type of seafood that is eaten and the manner in which it is served.

It is also quite traditional to enjoy pasta dishes ranging from lasagna to homemade pasta or ravioli.
